Yungan Siang has the most advanced rock
fishing industry of Taiwan and the most
beautiful mangrove trees, the most abun
dant bird resources, and cultural salt field
wetland. In recent years, the building of
Lover's Wharf by Kaohsiung County
Government has gained high recognition.
In the future after the treatment of mang-
rove ditches, visitors are able to ride on
bamboo rafts to Lover's Wharf on the
mangrove ecological tour. Through the
in-depth introduction to the features of
Ciieding and Yungan and the treat of rock
fish meal, they will be able to know about
these two administrative districts. In
addition, the project of "Harbor Pearl
Yachting Resort Island" including the
facilities of yachting contest venue, five
start harbor resort hotel, yachting club,
villa, and shopping mall totaled the inve-
stment amount of NT$16 billion is
expected to be completed in 2008 and then
we will see a very different Yungan Siang
with ecological, industrial, entertaining,
recreational, and cultural features.
